Project carried out before FluxovAI was incorporated
Platform occupancy where there was no data at all
A vision system that counts how many people are on each platform at any moment, replacing visual estimation with a figure.
- Problem
- There was no record of how many people were present on the platforms. Operational and safety decisions were made by visual estimation, with no figure behind them and no history to analyse afterwards.
- Intervention
- A computer vision application that continuously counts the people present on each platform and exposes the figure in real time.
- Result
- 0 → 99% visibility over platform occupancy
The problem
Without data there is no decision, only judgement. And the judgement of one person looking at a platform cannot be audited, compared between stations, or reviewed after an incident. Nor does it allow anticipation: by the time crowding is visible, it is already late.
What was done
A vision system that continuously counts the people present on each platform and publishes the figure in real time, platform by platform.
How it was measured
It went from having no occupancy data at all to covering 99% of the platforms in scope.
